This is a Concurrent Enrollment Course, offering both high school credit through Maple Mountain High School and college credit through Utah Valley University. As the name implies, this course is a "Professional Start" designed to train students for career opportunities in the food service/culinary arts industry.
This basic course from the National Restaurant Association introduces students into the world of professional cooking. Basic communication skills, safety and sanitation, food preparation, meal planning, and other topics are taught in this beginning course.
